Stephen Phillips II , Owner/ Operator

Owner Operator of RJOT. I began RJOT with the influence of my first Client. I saw that my assistance really helped my client deal with projects he did not have the time to do on his own. I deducted that more people could use a hand on their projects and restorations. Public & Private. No one was repairing Sheds & Outbuildings.
Now I provide a HANDYMAN service to both business, and residential clients, getting things done in a timely & quality manor at affordable rates.

R&D: includes employment of the less fortunate.
Manufacturing Urban Products, for Urban Solutions.
Green Technology Products & Services
Housing development & Community Building

Just a very scattered, yet quick overview of my work and engineering history w/ Building.

WORK HISTORY:  I started work young at age 12 doing summer Blueberry harvests. I then evolved to being a Clam Digger in Maine. It was not long before I got a job in a frame shop, making frames for carnival mirrors. This led to a job in assembly for Fisher Plows. I then got a job at Searles Design, using a STAT camera to photograph fine art, and helped in deliveries for a local Artists Studio in Camden Maine. All by the age of 18. I soon became a Bus Boy in a fine diner in Camden, then became a PRIVATE project worker, clearing land for development.

I moved to Florida and got my first job there working hot top roofs. It was indeed a Hot Job. It was not long before I went back to Maine and got a clerks job in a grocery store in Rockland Maine. I traveled the country for a bit, and landed in Iowa, where i went to school, finished my education and continued to learn and work. Getting a job in Assembly and warehousing at a number of locations over the years. Including one of the first WHOLEFOOD distribution warehouses, and Proctor and Gamble. I worked for General Motors selling their credit cards, and for the Multiple Sclerosis foundation as  a donations caller. Then I landed a job at MCI before the WorldCom merge. I worked my way through the ranks from sales to billing to research and then eventually to the top of my climb - Digital Data Tech, fixing broken and lost calls in the networks. And even helped connect the building where the clintons were doing a rally.

In Highschool I was very interested in building, and helped build homes for habitat for humanity. From framing to roofing, to the decks, wiring and plumbing. I learned all the basics. And over the years this knowledge has saved me and my friends and family tons of maintenance costs in home repairs and upkeep.

Getting homesick I returned to MAINE, where I got a job as a Galley Chef on a tourist boat in Rockland Harbor. Owned by the man who owns the power company on Vinalhaven. His niece was the first winner of Survivor. I left Rockland eventually after living the high brow sea life, and moved to Portland Maine, Where I became a phlebotomist. Taking people's blood plasma. Yes sticking people with needles. I was one of the best to have stick you. Painless & relaxed.

I had a client that stunk when he came in, and he explained he worked on the waterfront- and made a large amount of money. It shocked me that he made more handling dead fish. So I left and got a job throwing fish, and soon was the manager of the entire place running 4 crews of 5. And then after a long work day, stepping off the dock onto a lobster boat for another 5 hours. Workaholic. yes I was also a Sternman.

In the meantime computer got bigger, and I took my highschool passion and hobby of coding and began to work out the Microsoft systems. I moved to Springfield Missouri and got a job with HP. After a long stint with them and moving locations of operation I went and got permitted as a yellow cab driver. After meeting my wife, we became landlords, and set up several of our own business ventures. Still in progress.

In between all this time, if I was out of work- I would get work on roofing crews, building crews, and help as an assistant to handymen I knew or would encounter along the way. I have always worked, and have always been an asset to any job or project. I pay attention to detail, including, physics, weather sciences, Geometry and all manners of engineering.

The world to me is fascinating. Science, technology and all the things that spawn from it, as we evolve to master or co exist in nature's path. I spend my day to day life now, restoring and protecting, buildings and structures, and yards from the long lasting patterns of weather and its behavior.

"I believe I really am helping to change the world affordably for people, one yard at a time."
